Duo Puts Marketing Experience to Work for Small Businesses

Working together for nearly 20 years, Lenor Ryan and Tina Acevedo have built a strong friendship and seen a lot of changes in their lives. Promotions, reorganizations, weddings, children, and milestone birthdays have been celebrated and commiserated between these two South Florida residents. For years, they have dreamed of doing for themselves what they have always done for the companies they worked for — generating revenue through event sponsorships and advertising, as well as creating events that captivate audiences with unique experiences. With the launch of Branding Alliance, they are finally putting this dream into action and focusing on small businesses in South Florida and beyond.

Lenor is an innovative marketer and business development professional with proven ability to drive business through unique marketing initiatives that deliver revenue growth, market share, and brand awareness. She has an impressive track record of more than 17 years of experience in business development, public relations, and marketing. Lenor’s experience includes driving unprecedented revenue and profitability gains within highly competitive organizations, industries, and markets.

Over the past 17 years, Tina has built a diverse marketing portfolio including event planning and execution, copywriting for marketing materials, creation of social media campaigns, and networking for multi-million dollar corporations and small businesses in South Florida. Her client list includes Pembroke Lakes Mall, Midtown Miami Community Development District, the Shops at Midtown Miami, and The Fountains in Plantation. She has worked on creating and promoting events with Disney, local radio stations, local artists, and small businesses.

The first order of business to launch Branding Alliance was being designated as Neighborhood Ambassadors for the American Express Small Business Saturday initiative. The pair utilized their local connections to plan and execute the Small Business Saturday Showcase, an expo event for small businesses held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Local entrepreneurs could affordably rent a spot and take advantage of the advertising efforts of Branding Alliance prior to the event. Ten vendors set up shop at the event in Hollywood and feedback has been good from each of them as well as the customers who came to Shop Small®. The team is already brainstorming future events as well as helping some of the vendors from the Showcase get their brand into their customer’s hands.
